Just this weekend, the Austin American-Statesman endorsed Paul, saying,
“Sadler, an attorney from Henderson in East Texas, was a member of the Texas House from 1991 to 2003. During those dozen years in the Legislature, he developed a reputation for tackling challenges with intensity, focus and bipartisan effectiveness. His was a frequent name on Texas Monthly’s list of 10 best legislators.”

Paul Sadler, Democratic nominee for the United States Senate, announced Thursday that he is stepping up on his listening tour across Texas. Sadler said he hoped voters would get the opportunity to hear the platforms of both candidates through debates. Tea Party extremist Ted Cruz, however, has agreed to limited debates and has spent considerable time attending fundraisers with lobbyists in Washington, DC.
Paul Sadler criticized Ted Cruz’s embrace of extreme policies that would restrict women’s access to safe and affordable contraceptive care. Sadler said he would work with members on both sides of the aisle to ensure that Texas women’s health is protected.
